Projections explores the Rorschach inkblot test by replacing ink with indiscernible bones and flesh. The clinical precision of the view camera is similar to that of the final photographs, which are digitally manipulated to be bilaterally symmetrical and inverted. Consequently, the images are disturbing, yet relatable to the physical self. This allows for the perception and stigmatization of mental illness to be considered retrospectively, and also addresses whether there is an association or disconnect between mental health and the corporeal. In doing so, the series questions if the reading of mental health has changed (or stayed the same) since the era of the Rorschach test.

In observing Projections, the viewer is left to answer the question of the inkblot test: What do you see?
